So &lt;i&gt;R*ak&lt;/i&gt; is true just if there is a (finite) chain &lt;i&gt;a, b, c, ..., j, k&lt;/i&gt; such that &lt;i&gt;Rab&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;i&gt;Rbc&lt;/i&gt;, &lt;i&gt;Rcd&lt;/i&gt;, ..., &lt;i&gt;Rjk&lt;/i&gt;.</description>
